Goron City

Enter the Goron Shop Early

Alternatively, instead of bombs you can probably use the Megaton Hammer recoil to initiate a super slide.

There is also an easier way to enter the shop but require hover boots using a megasidehop

Unlock the Shortcut to the Lost Woods Without Bombs

In Darunia's room, there are two lit torches, and two pots which drop Deku Sticks. Use the flame to light the torches in the bottom floor and up to the Lost Woods entrance. Touch the flame to one of the bombs to light it.

  • Carry the Bomb until it explodes
  • Use the Bow to blow up the Bomb Flowers along the floor
  • Launch a Bombchu

Enter Darunia's Room

There are 2 ways to enter Darunia's room without talking to the goron

Megasidehop clip

Line up roughly as shown and megasidehop left. This clip is very lenient, so the setup shown in the video is for safety only. If Link is facing pretty far left, then you may need to hold right after beginning the megasidehop to direct Link into the hallway after the clip and avoid voiding out.

Ledge clip

Ground clip

A fairly easy way to clip inside of Darunia's Room is a ground clip, the angle is pretty lenient.

Enter DMC through Darunia's room

Child - Bombchu push

  1. Target wall next to torch
  2. Turn 90 degrees left
  3. Backflip into the statue corner
  4. Dryroll
  5. Shield drop bombchu and roll (hold target+shield)
  6. Begin holding left after the explosion hits Link's shield

The video pause buffers the left input, but it is lenient enough not to.

Adult - explosive clip

The fastest way to enter DMC is to clip past the statue with bomb damage.This video shows many ways to line up the lenient angle needed for clipping, including:

  • running towards the right wall, targeting to lock the camera, and walking into the corner (for bomb)
  • targeting in the corner and doing 2x ESS turns right (for bomb)
  • running towards the torch, targeting to lock the camera, and walking into the corner (for chu)
  • targeting in the corner and doing 3x ESS turns right (for chu)

Adult - hookshot extension

This is about the same speed as grab canceling the statue, so it's useful when Link has no strength upgrade and either using a bomb or taking damage is undesirable.

Sword setup:

  1. Target in the left corner and crouch stab once
  2. Sidehop right

Swordless setup:

  1. Target in the right corner
  2. Sidehop right, left, and right again

After either setup, both press hookshot and release target midair to get hookshot extension into the statue. Aim downwards a bit to hookshot the hookshottable collision behind it and make it through. Hookshot must be held, not tapped, otherwise you can void. The frame window for inputting hookshot midair depends on what's in Link's hand:

  • Nothing in hand: frame perfect
  • MS: 2f window
  • Hammer/BGS/Stick: 3f window
  • Hookshot: 5f window

Adult - hover boots megaflip

  1. On the top ropes, go towards the back wall depicting the two dancing gorons (the angle is lenient) and turn around
  2. Megaflip
  3. Equip the hover boots midair
  4. Hold right until Link lands back in bounds after the ground clip
  5. Navigate to the load zone using the minimap
