Mido Skip
It is possible to skip Mido (who blocks the entrance to the Deku Tree as a Child, not the exit out of the forest), allowing you to skip obtaining the shield. However it is quite difficult to achieve.

Possible with sword or sticks. 1 stick is doable, but 2 sticks is ideal so that you can have a weapon in hand which gives a more lenient window to press A to talk to the Kokiri guard.

- Target wall right of guard
- Turn 90 degrees right
- Vertical slash and let Link fully settle to fix position
- Diagonal triple slashes
- Mash or time 2f window for Navi
