OoB Skip (Skips 2 Small Keys)

The center door on the first floor can be opened without using any small keys, allowing one or both to be saved for later use in the dungeon. By inputting specific movements via pause buffering, you can bomb boost out of bounds and run around behind the doors.

While you can simply go up the stairs immediately, due to the Heatoise fight on B1, you will need to go back through the door later, so it is better to first open it by hitting the switches from above. One switch can then be activated with a second bomb, and the other can be hit either with a third bomb or the whip.

Older Version (Skips 1 Small Key)

It is possible to skip one small key by either using a bomb or the boomerang to hit the left switch. This version is now obsolete with the out of bounds skip.

Using this technique you can keep this key for later and skip the large puzzle gauntlet to get the other small key.
